Focus of the Role

We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Professional to join our recruitment team. The ideal candidate will be someone who can create an environment for the best candidate experience as well as representing the Institute at external recruitment events. You will be experienced in attracting the best talent and proactively supporting your business area.

Job Introduction

You’ll be accountable for running a smooth recruitment process internally and externally and be an employee brand ambassador for the Institute, analysing and measuring our performance to exceed our customers’ expectations. Manage the full candidate journey from initial contact through to the first day of employment ensuring candidates have a good experience that are reflective of the culture and brand.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibility

  • You’ll define, develop and embed the ideal hiring strategy for each level of role within the business area, from attraction and engagement through to selection, offer and onboarding, shaping the process to ensure it’s always fit for purpose.
  • You’ll line manage the Talent Coordinator, providing mentorship, support and guidance.
  • You’ll anticipate recruitment needs, ensuring that the recruitment activity follows legislation and best practice.
  • Develop tactical sourcing strategies aimed at generating talent pools. Through headhunting, networking and brand attraction. You’ll use a variety of recruitment channels with a focus on cost, quality and length of time to hire.
  • Build and foster relationships with Hiring Managers and external stakeholders. Developing and reporting on Talent Acquisition metrics and identifying any action or areas of concern.
  • Ensure that candidate data held on HRIS is up to date and accurate, reflecting activity for the candidate and role.

Judgement

  • Use professional knowledge and experience to make informed recommendations on hiring decisions.
  • Ensures all stages of the recruitment process reflects the brand and value of the Institute
  • Advise Hirning Managers on recruitment market conditions for specific functional areas and advise on the most appropriate hiring channels.

  • Actively coach new managers to become effective professional hiring managers through the creation of materials, guidance and personal development
  • Develop and implement new and innovative methods of talent acquisition, measuring performance through key metrics and continuously improving standards.

Person Specification

  • Experience in a similar in-house or agency recruitment role
  • CIPD level 5 is desirable
  • Experience of partnering with different sections of a business, and can demonstrate where this has had a positive benefit
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
  • Evidence of strong influencing and negotiating skills
  • Comfortable challenging traditional methods of recruitment to introduce innovative ways to hire the best talent
  • The ability to manage multiple, competing demands, successfully delivering positive results
  • Brilliant organisational skills, including the ability to plan and prioritise a workload
  • Can demonstrate an inquisitive and curious approach to talent acquisition, and can demonstrate the ability to consult effectively with key stakeholders to identify true needs
  • Strong team player with a collaborative approach
