Focus of the Role

The Product Manager within the Tech Partner Innovation (TPI) team will be the face of TBI to our Technology Partners and will have senior company counterparts in partner companies. The Product Manager will be responsible for the implementation strategy and be a core member of the delivery governance structure.

This role will have the responsibility for setting the delivery strategy of Technology Partner solutions for government clients with a focus on impact and accelerated delivery. To ensure sustainability and continued support, the Product Manager will be responsible for ensuring all customisations meet the needs of the government and are part of the product roadmap or retrofitted into the products to be included in future releases.

This position will report to the Head of Tech Partner Innovation, and work with a multi-disciplinary team that includes Engagement Managers, Enterprise Architects, Product Designers and Tech Partner Advisors. The TPI team will be propositional in the technical scope to be delivered, the plan to deliver successfully with our Technology Partners, and the model and approach to working with government clients.

The purpose of this newly created role is to extend our influence and impact with our government clients by leveraging tech partner solutions. These solutions will deliver measurable value to our clients, and tangible and meaningful impact to their citizens.

The position collaborates and leads with a mindset for impact and accelerated value. Success in this role will be measured by the impact the implemented solutions will have with governments clients, and the measurable contributions to the successful implementation and adoption of the partner solution.

Job Introduction

The TPI team is part of the Global Innovation Unit within TBI’s S&P Division.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Sets the delivery strategy for implementing the Partner’s digital solutions
  • Supports TBI vision internally for the selection and approach to leveraging Technology Partner solutions
  • Responsible for expansion of the Partner solution within government client i.e. land and expand
  • Responsible for uptake of Partner solution across TBI government clients
  • Supports SP&I with the identification and selection of Landmark and Strategic Technology Partners
  • Provide recommendation to SP&I evolving partnership model
  • Point of escalation for TPI team and Engagement Manager leading implementation
  • Supports the Engagement Manager to address blockers and mitigate delivery risks, working with Global Client Solutions (GCS) Programme Integrators
  • Supports proposal creation and contracting, ensuring path to partner impact, sustainability
  • Review project’s technical scope as part of overall implementation strategy
  • Member of the delivery governance structures with a focus on success and impact
  • Support development of references and government implementation success stories
  • Responsible for impact storytelling

Person Specification

This post would be a fit for a Senior Program Manager with product expertise and extensive internal and external stakeholder management experience. This role would require broad experience in agile software development, cloud computing and building a team culture for innovation and experimentation. This post should have these skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience developing digital solutions
  • Experience working within an innovation culture
  • Experience working with Oracle Products would be beneficial but not essential
  • Excellent knowledge and experience leading technical teams to develop digital solutions using agile and iterative approaches, with a focus on user centricity and human centred design
  • Broad and deep knowledge of Cloud computing and solutions, and other emerging technologies
  • Familiarity with using Open Source Software and Libraries
  • Proven experience selecting appropriate development and infrastructure platforms to support solution outcomes
  • Strategic and can challenge the status-quo on technology selection, and develop plans for successful delivery of challenging objectives
  • The ability to operate in rapidly changing and growth business environment
  • Background of delivering digital solutions with a positive impact and measurable outcomes
  • Experience of partnering/engaging with Government would be a plus
  • Outstanding influencing skills and the ability to work in a highly matrixed organisation
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • A proven self-starter and is entrepreneurial in spirit
  • Fluency in English
  • Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Keenly interested in the work of TBI and share in our mission and values
